Ok. I think it's time for me to update. This blog has been very dusty for the past 2 weeks? Lots of things to share, where shld i start? Hmm. Let start off with today! It's elder sis's 21st birthday!
HAPPY HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY SIS!
No big celebration for her but had a simple yet fabulous lunch yesterday with grandma, godma, family and him. Was real full till i didn't eat much for dinner. In e end, bought her a Swensens strawberry ice cream cake. Becos' it's PINK! Her fav colour! Took a couple of photos and realised y.sis and my hair were so messy becos' we were rushing here and thr to have the "icy-smoke" effect. Arghh. Well, hope sis enjoyed her 1 week of birthday break, celebrating with friends. May the Lord bless you always! :)
Today was church's feast day too! Surprisingly, able to wake up early and reached church at 8am. Helped Aloysius with his DJ's station but i guess i just sat there and din help much. Served the 9am mass, short chat with Aly and realised Os are getting so near! So fast lo! Jia you gal!(= After which, Mag and me helped Aloysius with the 10.15am lucky draw and abit messy thou. Then, as we wanted to start buying foood to eat, J.Jacob came to us and told us to help in the 10.30am mass collection and there goes our eating plan. Haha. But nvm. A while later, aft collection, we came out and bot food to eat. Had laksa, real sweet coconut and packed some food home with the remaining coupons.
Then, we helped in another rd of lucky draw and lots of great prizes to be won. But as usual, we din win any of the 40 prizes. Ahh! Met up with Kah Hui which we didn plan to. She came over my hse to do Pris's birthday card, chose some photos to be developed. Watched tv, eat and off we went to develop the photos. And i forgot to bring my ez-link card, thus had to walk to and fro from 500+ marketplc! Haiyo. Reached home and fell aslp on sofa while msging.
Work
Work is ok, get to know colleagues better each day, they are nice but GE's colleagues more fun. Well, for the past few days, sch had some events thus there was buffet and we got to eat the leftover which was really alot. So wasted! Hmm, and i've counted. I'm left wth 19 days of working there. One of my colleagues asked me if i will miss them. I replied, "At first, i thought i wldn't. But now i think i will, abit." Hee.
Doreen Chua's wedding dinner - 4 Oct
Same name but totally different height. One tall and slim. One short and fei. Sigh. Anyway, on this special day, attended an ex-colleague of mine wedding at Grand Hyatt Hotel. For once in my 19 years, i attended wedding dinner w/o my parents. Felt excited yet scared. Haha. That night, she looked beautiful and with the long eye lashes of hers. 'Mi ren' lo. Haha. Then my table de ppl orders some wine each and i guess i had abit too much. Luckily, got colleague shun lu drove me home. Wasn't drunk but felt really tired when reached home.
The next day, was super super tired and head was quite heavy. Thus, abit slow response too. Met up with Jiat Ping & the rest for dinner and didn't talk much thou. Totally drained out and KO. Apologise for that.
Batam Trip
Day 1
Was welcomed by the tutor guide when we reached the terminal. The golfer went to the club and the non-golfer went to have a simple breakfast at one of the coffeeshop along the roadside. The tea was abit too sweet but the curry puff was really nice. Can compete with A1's/Old Chang Kee's curry puff. Yummy! Next went to visit some temples. One of them is the Laughing Buddha temple. Next, we visited the real Polo Ralph Lauren shop which i think is real de ba. and then went to the Mega mall for some shopping which we didn't buy anything from there but ate 1 of the donut and ice lemon tea. Haha. The donut was nice and we had a hard time converting it to Sing dollar and apparently, the currency there has soooooooooooo mannyyyy zerossss which made us really have difficulties in both converting and counting the $ to the sales person when buying things.
We had lunch at the Golden Prawn 933. Chilli crabs, prawns, fish, kang kong, SNAILS!!! etc. oh man. snail was a no no to both sis and me but mum kept asking us to try by digging out the meat from the shell using a toothpicks. Awww~ It tasted abit like sotong but i still think it's disgusting to eat it. The coconut drink was really disappointing. Tasteless and no flesh! Worst coconut drink i every drank! Anyway, watched a 5-10mins culture show. Man using his teeth to tear out the coconut husk! Eating glass! Eating some fire thing? Getting through the ring of fire! Aft tt, asked us for some donations which we cld choose to give or not.
Dinner at hotel was nice. But 1 thing i don't like is they can smoke freely thr. Can't stand the smell. Then, with mum's boss and a few other golfers, we went to some KTV for some karaoke and of course, this isn't by the tour grp. The night life in Batam was dark. Few lamp posts along the road which made the road abit scary and dangerous. As for the day time, the traffic was scary too! You can see ppl selling newspaper ON the road when it's red light and ppl siting at the kerb, begging for $. And... saw a toddler on a motorcycle! With his father of course. Anyway, back to the KTV, the feeling was a bit funny when i stepped into the plc. Can see ladies in mini skirt at the counter. And with mum's boss ard, no such ladies were in our room! haha. But at least, got to see how a KTV looked like. Went for supper before heading back to our hotel. So so full!
Day 2 & Day 3
Breakfast at hotel was really really super sumptuous! Chinese cusine, assorted breads, porridge, pancake, egg, cereal etc etc. Simply love it! Went to play gold kart aft breakfast and woah! Really shiok! It wasn't the same feeling as what we normally play in Sg. It's on diesel and thou it was a bit expensive but worth it! woohoo! enjoyed! then went to another shopping mall and back to hotel. Sis left batam and left me and mum. indoor swimming at the hotel with a smart boy. sounds great rite, indoor swimming but... rmb.. it's batam! it's below average. had nasi briyani at one of a plc for dinner. massage at hotel sum up my last night. headed back to sg the nxt morn and the wind was super nice and cooling! and home swt home!
Ok, that's all for today. Shall update more if i rmb. Hehe. Another brand new week to look forward with the meet ups with Pei Tian & Xueli, Pris's birth, Aggie etc. Nice week ahead! Good night.
